We woke up after a disturbed sleep in the night. Baiju had woken up few times as well . We have been debating that if we have to walk on the highway since the river path is very rough and parts of it are closed due to flooding. There are three routes. One main highway, second middle road that goes partly on the road and partly through the jungle and third fully jungle (roughest of the three). The car will not go on the third path. Second path the road is rough and part of the way we would have to walk and May not have access to the car at all for a day or two. We decided to start walking and then see what happens. The Sadhus were also encouraging us to walk. We gave each of them some Dakshina just in case we have to part our ways. We walked for about 20 minutes and stopped at a farm House. They gave some tea. Jayprakash asked the host if they had some yogurt, as it is good for upset stomach. The gentleman got some yogurt and sugar. Baiju had that. They also had a Sitafal tree. Daramji got one to eat later to help with the stomach. We started walking again. Sunil ji, our driver, had taken the car about half a kilometer and stoops on the roadside. Baiju’ was feeling under the weather. He decided to sit in the car for the day. As we got to the car and were Putting our bags in the car, I twisted my right ankle. That sealed both our fates for the day at least. We said bye to all the four Sadhus as they will be walking and got in the car. Most senior Sadhuji, Arun Pandayji, had put his bag in the car. He took the bag. All of them asked when will We meet again. We told them we will come to their towns next year after they finish he Parikrama. We drove off wondering how long will It take them to complete the journey. We started driving. Both of us had mixed feelings. On one hand we were sad that we were breaking our walk. On the other hand we both needed the break. No matter how much heart and mind want to do something, we have to listen to what the body is saying. As we drove on we realized we had made the right decision. The road was winding and climbing up and down the mountain. What we would have taken 15 days to cover we did in one day. We drove through the mountains on a road that was very bumpy at times and smooth at times. As we were driving through the mountains we saw Om Handge, the young 13 year old boy doing the Parikrama. We stopped and enquired how he was. We noticed he had a different bicycle. When we asked he said his bicycle was stolen and the villagers got him a new one. We offered him Some bananas we had picked up earlier but he refused. We said bye continued driving. We reached flat grounds by Noon. We were both ready for lunch. Sunilji stopped at a roadside Rajasthani Dhaba. We had lunch and continued driving. We reached Ankaleshwar around 4:00. We found a hotel On the main road, Silver Leaf Palace. We booked two rooms, one for us snd one for Sunilji. Rest of the evening we stayed in the room. I was resting my foot and Baiju was catching up on his sleep. We decided we will stay in Ankaleshwar one more day. We I’ll resume walking in Sunday, October 30th. Today we walked about 8 kms before started driving.
