Wednesday, October 26, 2022 Lakhangaon to Chakeri

We have been getting ready by 7:00-7:15.  Today was no different. We started walking. Our first stop was early for tea at Shree Balaji Ashram. We finished and started walking.  Within  half an hour we were invited for tea. Usually there is only tea but sometimes they give small biscuit packets or some other snack. We were walking on the side of highway now. Main thing we had to watch out for are vehicles of all types, cars, trucks, scooters, motorcycles and occasional bullock cart. Oh and let’s not forget the buffalos, cows and goats. Sometimes dog or two follow us for a distance. There are children along the way meet who expect us to give them small chocolate treats. They will call out “Narmade Har” and look at us with expectation. We stop when we can to give them the chocolates.  We stopped for lunch at Shree Nageshwar Mahadev Mandir. This is a large circular temple on second floor.  The open design with arches let’s the air flow through out the temple. Even at midday the place was cool. We rested there while the volunteers made the lunch.  Within one hour they food was ready. We went downstairs where they served the food.  They had cleaned a portion of the space for us to sit.  The Puri Bhaji and Sweet was delicious. After some rest we started walking again. We reached the night stay place by 4:00.  This was a place literally on the main road side. Shree Mekalsutha Dhaam in Chakeri Town. The Maharaj, Shree Kapilesh Maniyar, gave us a lot good information as to how to proceed from this location. There are three routes from Barwani.  He also encouraged us to find out more details of each place we stop. We had dinner and went to sleep. Today we walked 17.6 kms.
