We woke up late. In this hotel there was no early morning tea. Finally around 7:30 am we got tea in the room. We got ready and went to the restaurant for breakfast. We started around 9:30 am. We got into the car to get to the starting point for walking. As we started down one residential street, one person on a motorbike stopped and asked us how come you are on this road. We said we are doing Narmada Parikrama. He said yes but why on this road. Baiju told him that we are going in this direction. He said you have to go on the other road and showed us the way. As we got closer to the road we were supposed to be on a tea shop on the corner stopped us and gave us Poha with Kachori and Sev followed by tea. Our second breakfast within one hour. We got on the correct road and started walking. Today we may do less distance as we had a late start. We got to a roadside Annakshetra ashram. This is newly opened roadside Seva ashram. We were served Daal Baati and sweet. We had buttermilk with us. Which helped reduce spiciness of the Daal. After eating we rested for an hour and then we started walking. We walked till about 3:30 pm and then got in the car to get to the next ashram. As we drove we saw some carts selling boiled and roasted corn. We just had to stop. We found out the difference in the boiled and roasted corn. Boiled corn is Videshi (foreign variety) and very sweet. You can eat only half or one. If you eat more you can get stomach problems. It has more juice than flesh. Roasted corn is desi (local variety) and not as sweet. You can eat two or three without any stomach problems. It has more flesh and less juice. We opted for roasted and shred one. Just the right amount for us. We continued driving. We got to the Maa Narmada Ashram, Kawati around 5:00 pm. There were six sadhus staying there already. Couple of them we had met earlier and few new one. One new one called himself Pagaldas Maharaj. He looks like a typical sadhu with big head of tangled mess of hair. He talks very loudly and smokes Bidi. All the ashrams have put signs for no smoking inside the halls. He started arguing that when he is Parikrama the hall is his home and he can do what he wants. The volunteer was saying that there are rules set for the ashrams that everyone has to follow. Finally he sat on a bench in the courtyard for smoking. One Parikramavasi was very happy to talk to Baiju about technology. He told me that his confusion was all cleared by talking to Baiju. People doing the seva are very nice. Very polite and respectful. At dinner Tomatoe Sev Subjji was a bit spicy for me. And One volunteer noticed it and asked if I wanted some sugar. I had last half of the Chapati with sugar. The Sadhus in the hall did not want the fan running in the sleeping hall. Sunilji, Baiju and I slept inside the temple with the fan. The volunteers said the only thing is that we would have to get up before 5:30 am., as that is morning prayer time. By now we are getting up at 5:00 without any problems. We slept peacefully. Today we walked 12 kms
