We had a fantastic breakfast – Poha, Jelebi, Samosa and Tea on the side of the road. We picked up Guavas for the walk. We got in the car and drove out of Barwaha city and started walking. After walking short distance we entered Jayanti Mata Jungle. Absolutely beautiful walk. Very peaceful. Little traffic. Road is lacking potholes. We came across Choral River. The spot was so beautiful with water flowing from North to south. The water was so clear we could all the way to the bottom. We fed the fish some Parle-G biscuits. After fifteen minutes we continued walking. We saw many spider webs with the spiders in the center. We tried taking pictures. Finally Baiju was able to get one very clear picture. We continued walking. We are resting in the forest after walking 8 kms. We can hear the rustling of dry leaves in the wind. Fall season has started.  The forest has mostly young Teakwood trees. We heard some noise like someone is cutting trees. As we got closer we found that they were identifying dead trees in the forest so that they can cut them to clear the forest. We left them to their work and moved on.  We came to a small spring on the side of the road. It was hidden in the trees about 60 feet away from the road. The water was so clear and flowing freely. We all had few sips. Short distance from the spring we came across a waterfall. The river was flowing and dropping about 50-60 feet down forming a waterfall in the middle of the forest. Bharathi and I walked to the start of the fall. Baiju took some pictures. Just a few step further we saw a car turned upside down in the water. The accident happened earlier that day. The driver might have been drunk according to the locals who were hanging around looking at the car. We were told no one was hurt.

We continued walking. Within half an hour we came to fork in the road. Sunilji was waiting for us there since the ashram where we could have lunch was 1 km detour into the forest. We got in the car and went to the Chyavan Maharshi Ashram. The place was full of Monkeys.  As our car stopped the Monkeys surrounded us. Curious to see if we had any food.  We stomped our sticks on the ground yo make noise. We went into the ashram. The whole place was encased in metal mesh to avoid monkeys coming in. We had lunch and left the place to get back to our walk. We were still walking through the forest area. As we walked further we saw two-three monkeys sitting in the middle of the road. We thought we could feed them some biscuits. I had some in my backpack. Baiju was a little ahead of Bharathi and me. As soon as we took out the biscuit package we saw about 50+ monkeys coming towards us. We threw the packs on the ground and walked away. They were following us for few steps. I stomped my stick on the ground and that stopped their advance. We decided we will not feed monkeys in the forest. We kept walking till about 4:00 pm. We came to Okhla village. We saw the ashram there and decided it made sense to drive to Indore since Bharathi was flying back to Bengaluru tomorrow.  We got in the car and drove about one hour forty five minutes and reached Indore around 6:30 pm. We got rooms in Hotel Jas. Baiju had a call till 8:00 pm. Three of us went out to look for dinner. After walking ten fifteen minutes we came back close to a restaurant near the hotel. We had dinner and decided to go to the Sarafa Street Food. Though we had finished dinner we went and had dessert. The street is full of all kinds food carts. Sweet and Savory. The food festival starts every evening after 10:00 pm and goes on till 2:00 am. It was crowded when got there around 11:00 pm. When we got there we wished we had come on an empty stomach. But we enjoyed the desserts and ate Paan after that. There were new versions of Paan that I remember from my childhood. Smoke Paan, Fire Paan, Chocolate Paan, just to naw a few. I took a plain Paan. By the time we got back to the hotel it was past midnight. Today we walked 22.5 kms
