We woke up and got ready. Early morning tea at 6:00 am in the garden overlooking Narmada Maiya was refreshing and delicious. We sat there till Sunrise around 6:45 am. We got back to the room packed up and started walking. We took short breaks for water in shade of road side trees. We stopped at Sitaram Annakshtra and Maruti Mandir for lunch. Very hospitable people. We reached a little late so actual lunch time was over. Even then they said they would make food for us. maharaj there asked us what we would like? We have not been asked that before. We said anything will be fine. He showed us very nice clean hall where they had already placed three mats for us to rest. While we tested we got tea (elixir of life here in rural India). Don’t know what is in the tea here I can have ten of those small cup in day and still feel great. After about 45 minutes we were called for lunch. Chapati, Eggplant and Potatoe Subjji, Rice mixed with bit of Daal. All freshly made. Delicious. We rested for some time under the trees. As we were leaving we saw that the temple was built by Shree Ramada Swamy, Cchatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Guru. During years 1630-1650 he built 11 Maruti Mandirs across India. Our walk continued after lunch. After an hour or so we came across a tent on the road side offering tea and Nashta(snack). This is run by a businessman from Baroda, an hour drive from this spot. It turns out he know our good friends who live in Baroda. We had tea and snack (Murmura Chiwada). Talked for ten minutes and started out walk again. After another hour or so of walking we came across a small tent with a cot. The gentleman sitting there got up and asked us to sit for tea. We have become used to stopping every time we are invited. As he was making the tea we were talking. He is a Muslim who has left his fate and is serving the Parikramavasis. He was doing this in the village but ran into some trouble so he decided to shift to his own farm. He has set up this roadside tent. Tea was good as always. We continued our walk. We reached our night stay place Datta Mandir in Garudeshwar around 5:00 pm. Here we had to pay for the room and we shared it with Sunilji. We put our things in the room and walked over to see Narmada Maiya. There were many steps going down to the river. We were tempted to go down but we’re too tired. We enjoyed the view from above. Dinner was at 8:00 pm. We had to search for the place. The building was up a flight of stairs. We had paid for dinner and the server was collecting the receipt for his records. Food was good. We walked over to see the river in the moonlight after dinner. There were people sleeping on the steps. We stayed there for few minutes and got back to the room. Today we walked 19.7 kms
