We got up at 6:30 am after a peaceful sleep. Tea was ready in the hallway. We had Tea and saw the Sun come up right outside our window. It was a lovely sight. We got ready by 8:00 am and went downstairs to the gardens. Beautiful place. Very well maintained. We walked around for sometime. They have a playground for children as well. We could see Narmada Maiya from the gardens. By the time we walked back to the front morning Tea was ready. There were tables set on the lawn. Sun was just warming up. We had Tea and met with Mr. Khandekar. As soon as we introduced ourselves as Parikramavasis he came over and talked to us for more than an hour while we finished our breakfast. It was almost 9:30 am. We finished packing and left to go for some sightseeing. We are on the opposite bank from Bhedaghat. The Dhuadhar falls are visible from this side. But the view is totally different. Narmada Maiya is flowing between absolutely magnificent tall marble sides. The Marble is multicolored, at 299 feet tall at places. It goes on for about a kilometer or so. We drove to the view point and spent some time enjoying the sights. There is a Ropeway that you can take to get an overhead view of the fall and the Marble rocks. We did not take it since we can’t cross the River in Parikrama. We had lunch then Baiju took a bus to Jabalpur. He is catching a flight tomorrow to Bangalore for work. He will rejoin in few days. Today is rest day and we did not walk. Sunilji and I drove to next place where we would stay for the night. We reached Chargawa village and found Narmada Kund Ashram. The moment we got there we were welcomed with Tea. This place is run totally by farmers from the surrounding villages. There are shifts and they hang around the ashram and serve any Parikramavasis who come. They also have been doing Akhand Ramayana Paath (24/7 chanting of Ramayana) using loudspeakers. Night should be interesting. We got dinner around 8:30 pm. We are and slept. Today I managed 2 kms around the falls.
