Last night the Akhand Ramayan was very loud and I was tossing and turning. Finally I got up at 5:00 am and could not go back to sleep. I got ready by 6:00 and waited for the Tea. We had Tea and drove off to the main road. We had Samosas, Jelebi and Tea for breakfast before I started walking. The road was straight, weather was great. I was walking alone and missing Baiju. The walk was much quieter. I was making great strides. By Noon I had done about 15.5 kms. Earlier I was thinking that I did not get any Tea invitations though I passed small villages with Tea stalls. Suddenly around Noon I replied to Narmade har from a gentleman (K. K. Chourasia) across the street and then he asked if I would have Tea. I said yes and realized we are no where near any shops. He was tending to his farm. He asked one of his workers to get some Tea. We started talking. He was impressed by me leaving comfortsOf home and doing this Parikrama. When the Tea came there were four snack packs which he gave me first then poured two cups of Tea for me. As I finished Tea and took pictures with him and his friend Sunilji drove up. I told them that he is with me. Immediately K. K. Got on his bike to bring Tea for Sunilji. With in few minutes he was back with Coffee. I got a cup of Coffee as well. I walked for some time and got in the car to find some lunch. Today we were not to find any food for lunch. We drove till about 2:00 pm. We came across a farm where they were making fresh Jaggery. We stopped and got a quick tour of the place and tasted some Jaggery. We bought some as well. We drove on and came to a town called Sakala. There few people playing Pagadekai(chopat). We have this game at home. We had anther tea and I started walking. I walked for an hour and got back in the car as we did not find any ashram. After driving for some time we to village where they said the Dharmashala was very good. Alas, bathroom was a problem. We drove to next bigger town. There no ashrams that anyone could tell us. As we were trying to go to a hotel listed in the book we were stopped by a gentleman on a bike and guided to a small ashram by the river that is run by volunteers. Turned out to be a nice place where we could stay. There were five other Parikramavasis who came at the same time. We all set up our Asanas(beds for the night). They are from Amarkantak area and have just started the yatra on foot. Ver nice group of people. We did the evening Aarti together. Then had dinner and went to bed by 9:30 pm. Today I walked 20.9 kms.
