Early morning around 3:30 am there was commotion in the hall, as the bus travelers were getting ready to leave at 4:30 am. Suddenly it became quiet at that time and I slept till 6:00 am and then got up and get ready. Had coffee this morning since one of the volunteers drinks coffee only.
Started walking around 8:00 am. For the first time I saw a train go by in the distance. May want to go somewhere in a train. Walking on the highway I saw many tractor trailers full of Rice grain parked on the roadside waiting to deliver the good to a milling factory. Each truck carries 200-250 quintal. One quintal is 100 kilograms. Most of the trailers were overflowing. Some of the grain goes to the factory rest goes to a warehouse near by. I walked through a small village and saw extra large Guavas. I asked the vendor what is this variety. He said these are seedless. I bought 2 even though I had one in the bag that was given to me earlier in the walk.
Shortly afterwards I saw a road sign for Satpura Tiger Reserve 29 kms. I wished I could take the tour. Around Noon I got in the car and we drove to find a place for lunch. We had reached Sohagpur and found The Grand Kaulashlya Hotel. The restaurant was on the 5th floor with open garden. We had lunch and enquired about room for the night. I decided to call it a day early and stay. The hotel Could arrange the Tiger Reserve Tour for next morning. Once I got settled in the room I did not step out for the evening. Called for room service and watched some TV before going to sleep. Tomorrow we had to be easy by 5:00 am.
